How To Install Lyra Splash Screens

Installing custom splash screens for the RCA/Thompson Lyra Portable MP3 Player is easy.

What you'll need:

The RCA/Thomspon Lyra Portable MP3 player and Compact Flash Card reader/writer.

A Lyra Splash Screen Bit File available here.

What to do:

Insert your Compact Flash Card into your card reader/writer.

Using Windows Explorer or starting from My Computer, find the CF Drive and click into it:

Find the PMP directory and click into it:

Now you should see the screen.bit file:

Using another Windows Explorer, drag or copy the new BIT file into the PMP directory. Once there, delete the old screen.bit file (or rename it to something else). Rename the new BIT file to screen.bit.

Place the CF card back into the Lyra and power it on. Shortly after the RCA logo appears, you should see your new customized Splash Screen.
